Privacy notice
Draft notice for the proposed hosted service. The operator must complete the legal identity, postal address, data uses, lawful bases, suppliers, international transfers and retention periods before relying on this notice. Operators of other installations need their own notice.
Contact
The proposed operator is Teleport Engineering in London, UK. The proposed privacy contact is privacy@teleport.engineering. The legal identity, full business address and the controller or processor roles for each use have not yet been confirmed and must be supplied before this notice is finalised.
Information in the service
The service can store account and sign-in details, project membership, tickets, discussions, workflow and activity history, preferences, and content entered into agent or terminal sessions. Workspace content may contain personal information supplied by its users. The operator must describe the actual uses and lawful basis for each use, including security, service provision and any support or communications.
Suppliers and international transfers
The planned hosted service uses exe.dev in London. Users bring their own AI harness and can select providers; those providers and any execution hosts or code services may receive content. The operator must confirm the actual recipients and subprocessors, where they process data, and applicable transfer safeguards. Do not enter personal or confidential information into a harness until its provider and settings have been reviewed.
How long information is kept
The operator has not yet set retention periods or backup arrangements. Before launch, specify periods or the criteria used to determine them for accounts, workspace content, histories, terminal output, logs and backups, including deletion arrangements.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives people rights to access, correct or erase personal data, restrict or object to processing, and receive or transfer certain data. Where processing relies on consent, consent can be withdrawn. Rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Contact the privacy address above to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and browser storage
teleport_session is a first-party sign-in cookie used to authenticate the session. It is set after sign-in, has a maximum age of 12 hours and is removed on sign-out. It is HttpOnly and uses SameSite Strict; Secure is enabled for HTTPS.
teleport-storage-choice-v1 records your choice on this browser. If you allow optional preferences, teleport-location:… stores your last workspace location and pending navigation state on the device until cleared or permission is withdrawn. The service may also save your location on the server as an account preference. Blocking optional browser storage does not remove server-side preferences.
The bundled application does not include advertising or analytics cookies. Installation-specific proxies, integrations or third-party services may use additional technologies and must be assessed by the operator. Browser storage can be cleared in browser settings; the cookie settings link on the main page changes the optional preference.
